It seems that everyone has their own way to try to secure their reins while lungeing...through the throat latch, under the stirrups, wrapped around the neck... Well, sometimes those techniques work, but often they don't.

Our Lunge Lizard addresses the problem by adding an attachment device to the front of a stirrup keeper. Now you can lunge your horse and at the same time allow for full neck and head extension without the worry of loose or broken reins.

The Lunge Lizard is made of 100% poly webbing and velcro to provide a strong, yet soft and flexible design that is easy to use but won't damage your tack - no metal snaps or swivels... When you're done using the lizard, it rolls right up and fits in your pocket.

The Lunge Lizard can also be used while your riding. Attach the legs to the stirrup leathers and the reins to the head piece during "no hands" jump training exercises - you can be confident your reins won't be thrown up his neck, or worse yet, over his head! Use the Lunge Lizard on longer trail rides, too - go ahead and drop your reins - you can be sure they'll be close at hand when you want and need them.
